One-Bedroom Apartments for Sale in Phuket

This page lists Phuket projects that have at least one one-bedroom layout in our database: a living room, usually with the kitchen, and a separate bedroom with a door. A project qualifies by the layouts we have entered, so one whose layouts are not in yet will not appear here; you will find it on the main Phuket page. Most of the results are condominium units, but a villa project with a one-bedroom layout is included too. Being on the list does not guarantee that one-bedroom units are still for sale. The layout table shows "few left" or "sold out" when we have marked it, and a manager confirms availability and price with the developer. The page is for couples spending the season on the island, for remote workers, and for buyers who want to let long-term.

Why one bedroom is the all-rounder

A one-bedroom gives you what a studio cannot: a door. One person can sleep while the other reads in the living room; a desk can go by the living-room window so that video calls do not happen from the bed. Unlike a two-bedroom, it stays easy to lock up and leave between visits, and the running costs follow its smaller size.

Who usually looks here

  • Couples from Europe, Australia or elsewhere in Asia who spend the northern winter in Phuket.
  • Remote workers who need a separate space to work across time zones.
  • Retirees who live on the island part of the year and leave their things in the unit between stays.
  • Buyers letting long-term to people who live and work in Phuket and want more than a studio.

What to check on the unit page

Open the unit page from the layout table. These fields appear when they have been filled in:

  • Unit floor plan — whether the bedroom window faces outside or an internal corridor, whether the kitchen is open or closed, and which room opens onto the balcony.
  • Size and price per square metre — compare with the studio and two-bedroom units in the same building.
  • Bathrooms — one, or a second guest toilet.
  • Floor and view — in Phuket a sea or hill view changes how the unit feels and how tenants see it.
  • Furnishing — bare shell, partly or fully furnished.
  • Ownership — foreign or Thai quota, shown only once we have verified it for that unit.

Choosing an area by how you want to live

For beach life, look along the west coast: Bang Tao, Kamala, Karon and Kata. To walk to the water, combine the bedroom filter with the near-sea filter in the catalogue, or see Phuket beachfront property.

For quiet and green surroundings close to the airport, try Layan, Nai Yang and Nai Thon in the north. For year-round life with a town nearby, Phuket Town and Kathu. For an established community of foreign residents, Rawai.

Off-plan or completed

Buying off-plan usually means a wider choice of floors and views and payments spread over construction, but a wait for the keys — see Phuket new developments. In a completed building you can stand in the actual bedroom and check the actual view — see ready condos in Phuket.

Running costs and letting

The building's common fee is charged by area: the rate per square metre is on the project page when filled in, so multiply it by the unit size. On top come electricity, mostly air-conditioning, plus water, internet and insurance. If you plan to let, nightly rentals are regulated separately in Thailand and the building's regulations decide what is allowed, so check with a lawyer before buying. How rental income abroad is taxed where you live is a question for your own tax adviser.

Smaller, bigger, or the whole island

Coming alone for short stays? A studio in Phuket may be enough. Bringing children or parents? See two-bedroom apartments in Phuket. All projects are on Phuket property for sale, and condos of every size on Phuket condos for sale.

Questions and answers

Is a one-bedroom big enough to work from home?

Usually, if the living room has space for a desk near a window — check the floor plan. The point is that work and sleep happen in different rooms, which a studio cannot offer.

Can guests stay over?

For short visits, a sofa bed in the living room works if it is part of the furnishing — ask a manager and put it in the contract. For long or frequent visits, a two-bedroom is kinder to everyone.

Why are there villas on a one-bedroom page?

The list follows layouts, not building type, so a villa project with a one-bedroom layout is included. Keep in mind that land rights for a foreigner work very differently for a villa than for a condo unit; discuss them with a lawyer.

Studio or one-bedroom — which lets better?

There is no single answer; it depends on the area and the tenant you have in mind. Any yield on a project page is an agency estimate with a source and date, not a promise. Tell a manager who you want to let to, and they will show options in the right area.
